Now is Harvest Festival time when we traditionally celebrate the produce we or others have grown.
But what do you give the gardener in your life who's just given you some amazing home-grown veg or jars of fresh preserves? It's easy if you have grown something in your garden that they haven't, but an other alternative is to give your gardening friends a good tea towel or something for their kitchen. New House's clever illustrator Charlotte Farmer drew some lovely antique seed packets not long ago, that we turned into tea towels and make perfect gifts.
Charlotte has an amazing ability to turn a simple illustration into one that makes you smile. One of her tea towels feature vegetable seed packets and another has flowers. These popular tea towels are sold individually, but often people take both in a gift set at a discount.
Our traditional Swedish vintage tea towels also make great presents and gifts for the green-fingered. Herb Pots was designed in the early 1950's by Astrid Sampe and has been a Scandi classic ever since. New House offer both the original blue range and the updated monochrome black & white versions.
Our traditional Picknick design by Marianne Westman is also a Scandinavian kitchen favorite. Again we stock both the original 1950 colourways and the newer pastel colours which up-date the design for modern kitchens.
Any of these kitchen tea towels are sure to be well-loved and if given as a return gift may guarantee more excellent veg to come in following years!
